00 – Study Guide – Module 8 – ICF in measuring instruments

A key issue in using the ICF is its relationship with currently used standardised assessment tools. In this module we will review a range of available ICF-based tools and consider methods used to relate standardised assessments to ICF.

It is important to remember that many tools pre-date the ICF, are proprietary and have been developed for a specific purpose.

Goal

To be able to describe the relationship between measuring instruments and the ICF and to apply the ICF Linking Rules to selected measuring instruments.
