Detailed description
This lecture forms part of a module called “Introduction to Clinical Medicine” for first year medical students. Often students are only
taught a biomedical approach to take a history (e.g. current symptoms, previous diagnosis, medical history), without having a holistic view of the person. By introducing students early on to the ICF conceptual framework and the ICF categories and domains, they are sensitised to
have a discussion with a person that is embracing a bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach.
