Responsibilities of ICF education users and providers

Users of resources accessed through this portal should use them alongside the ICF. The education resources do not replace the ICF, but are intended to support consistent and reliable application. The ICF Practical Manual is designed to help users apply the ICF in various situations.

Users are responsible for the selection and use of materials either as students or teachers.

Introduction

  1. If you continue to use this website you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which governs the relationship between the website managers (members of the WHO-FIC Network) and you in relation to this website. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, please do not use this website.
  2. This portal is a collaboration involving the WHO-FIC Network, represented by an Editorial Team, ICF education providers who make education resources available through the website, and ICF education users who may include, amongst others, teachers, students or people with disabilities.
  3. The term ‘ICFEducation’ or ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to the managers of the website. The term ‘you’ refers to the user of our website. Managers of the website may be contacted at icfeducate@gmail.com.
  4. This email must not be subject to junk or mass emails.
  5. Our website uses cookies. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you consent to our use of cookies.

Registration and accounts

  1. You may register for a free account with our website by completing and submitting the online account registration form, which will allow you to download and share ICF-related educational resources (pending authorisation by the Editorial Team).
  2. If you register with our website, submit any material to our website or use any of our website services, you must expressly agree to these terms and conditions.

  4. Information held by us will not be sold or circulated or used for any purpose other than to register you as a user of the website.

User names and passwords

  1. If you register for an account with our website, you will be asked to choose a unique user name and password.
  2. Your user name must not be liable to mislead and must comply with the content rules set out in Section 7.
  3. You must not use your account or username for or in connection with the impersonation of any person.
  4. You must keep your password confidential, i.e. not allow any other person to use your account to access the website.

Content conditions

  1. In the spirit of ICF, your content will comply, where possible, with accessibility guidelines for vision, hearing and language etc.

Limited warranties

ICFEducation does not provide any warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy, timeliness, performance, completeness or suitability of the information and materials found or offered on this website for any particular purpose. Education users acknowledge that such information and materials may contain inaccuracies or errors and ICFEducation expressly excludes liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  2. From time to time this website may also include links to other websites. These links are provided for your convenience to provide further information. They do not signify that we endorse the website(s). We have no responsibility for the content of the linked website(s).
  3. We reserve the right to discontinue or alter any or all of our website services, and to stop publishing our website, at any time at our sole discretion; and save to the extent expressly provided otherwise in these terms and conditions, you will not be entitled to any compensation or other payment upon the discontinuance or alteration of any website services, or if we stop publishing the website.
